The Contact Company has expanded its growing repertoire of certifications by securing Cyber Essentials Plus.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed and industry-supported scheme that helps businesses protect themselves against the growing threat of cyber attacks and provides a clear statement of the basic controls organisations should have in place to protect themselves.
It is the UK Government’s answer to a safer internet space for organisations of all sizes, across all sectors, and gaining Cyber Essentials certification enables organisations to showcase their credentials as trustworthy and secure when it comes to cyber security.
Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme. It is a rigorous test of an organisation’s cyber security systems, where cyber security experts carry out vulnerability tests to make sure that an organisation is protected against basic hacking and phishing attacks.
The addition of Cyber Essentials Plus accompanies The Contact Company’s growing number of accreditations and certifications, all in place to support our clients in keeping their customers’ data safe and secure.
The Contact Company’s Head of Audit, Risk and Compliance Amir Mirza commented: “Cyber Essentials Plus helps businesses like ours put security controls in place to fight cyber security threats. Achieving this advanced level of certification showcases The Contact Company’s commitment to cyber security; not just for ourselves, but for the protection and security of our partners and their customers.”
The Contact Company’s IT Director Alex Karolemeas added: “Obtaining the Cyber Essentials Plus standard shows our clients and customers that The Contact Company cares about their data, that we want to ensure we are following best practice for IT and Information Security. So, what better way than being aligned with the only Government-backed standards in the UK?”
